These three desserts are easy, fun desserts that everyone in the family will love. They are my family's favorite desserts.
DIRT CAKE
Ingredients:
12 ounce Cool Whip
3 1/2 cups of milk
2 of the 3 1/2 ounces packages French Vanilla Instant Pudding
8 ounces Cream Cheese
1/2 stick of Butter
1 cup of confectioner's sugar
1-2 boxes of crushed Oreos
Directions:
In one large bowl., mix Cool Whip, milk, and pudding. In a smaller bowl, mix the cream cheese, butter and sugar. Mix pudding mixture with the cream cheese mixture.
In a serving bowl, layer the Oreos with the pudding mixtures. Begin and end with Oreos. Put layer alternately in a glass bowl, and it is very pretty. Garnish with something red, like strawberries or cherries.
EASY BROWNIE SHORTCAKE DESSERT
Ingredients:
1 package [19.5 ounce] brownie mix
1 container [16 ounce] Sour Cream, divided
1 cup thawed Cool Whip Shipped Topping
1 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups cut-up mixed strawberries and blueberries
Directions:
Mix remaining sour cream, shipped topping, sugar and vanilla. Cut brownie horizontally in half. Place bottom half on plate; spread with half of the sour cream mixture, cover with top of brownie, remaining sour cram mixture and fruit. Store in refrigerator.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare brownie batter butter as directed on package; stir in 1/2 cup sour cream. Spoon into greased and floured 9-inch round cake pan. Bake 45 minutes; cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely. Serves 16
MUD PIE
This is a great recipe for the family, and it is so easy. You can use with different kinds of pudding. Be creative and be guided by your taste buds.
Ingredients and directions:
1 cup flour
1 cube butter
1 cup chopped pecans
Mix thoroughly and press into the bottom of a 9X13 pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, then cool
Combine the following:
8-ounces cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
9-ounce cool whip [ 1/2 carton]
Mix well and spread on first layer
Combine the following:
2 small packages of instant pudding [mix butterscotch with 1 chocolate/or use pistachio and chocolate] Be creative
1 1/2 cups cold milk
Beat for 2 minutes then spread on second layer.
Spread on remaining cool whip and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
