CRAB MEAT DIP
Cover a block of cream cheese with crabmeat, top with cocktail sauce and serve with crackers. Cover the cream cheese with any tasty topping, for a quick snack for unsuspected company.
HOT BROCCOLI DIP
Ingredients:
2 packages frozen chopped broccoli
1 stick of margarine
1 small can chopped mushrooms, drained
1 medium onion, grated
1 can mushroom soup
Sliced almonds
Cheddar cheese [ add according to number of people]
I/2 chopped garlic clove
Directions:
Cook broccoli as directed on package.
Saute onion in margarine, until soft.
Combine onion, soup, and mushrooms
Add crumbled up cheese and heat until cheese melts, stirring constantly
Should be made at least three days in advance, refrigerated, and then heated before serving, stirring well.
Sprinkle with almonds
Serve with crackers
Serves approximately 25.
EASY CRAB CANAPES
Ingredients:
1 stick of softened butter
1 1/2 teaspoon mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon Lawry’s seasoned salt or any seasoning salt
1 small block of Velvetta or softened cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 can crab meat [ 7 oz.]
6 English muffins
Directions:
Soften butter and cheese. Add Mayonnaise, garlic salt, and seasoning salt
Mix thoroughly
Add crab meat
Spread on an English muffin
Freeze at least 10 minutes
Cut into 1/8ths and broil until crisp and bubbly.
EASY STUFFED MUSHROOMS
Ingredients and Directions:
Crumble enough cooked bacon to fill the number of mushrooms you wish to serve.
Moisten bacon with mayonnaise
Add chopped onions and chopped mushroom stems.
Mix in Parmesan cheese to taste
Stuff mushrooms with filling
Top with mild cheese - Swiss, Muenster etc.
Heat at 350 degrees until cheese melts.
These recipes are quick, easy and good for serving daily or on special occasions.
