EASY SUMMER SALAD DRESSING RECIPES

Summer is the time when everyone thinks of their figure in a bathing suit or a backless sundress.  Most women, and men too for that matter, are more aware of their bodies in the summer time because summer is the time for sports, swimming and beach vacations.  In this season, we all are much more conscious of our figures and the way we look in our clothes.  With this heightened awareness, we plan to eat more salad and lose the extra pounds that were acquired in the hibernation winter season.

Salads are easy to make these days.  A person buys a ready-made bag of different kinds of lettuces, opens the bag, puts in a bowl, and the salad is ready.  The next question is often not that easy.  What dressing do I use? The easy way is to open a bottle of the family’s favorite salad dressing, but if you are having company or simply want a different taste, you need to have some salad dressing recipes.  Here are two easy and tasty dressings for your summer salads.

Dressing for spinach and strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 teaspoons poppy seeds

1 1/2 teaspoon minced onion

1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup cider vinegar

Dressing for any greens, including spinach

1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes [julian cut]

8-10 - Black Olives sliced

8-10 - Green Olives sliced

2 tablespoons capers drained

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoon sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper

1/2 cup vinegar [white balsamic or apple cider]

1/2 cup olive oil
